African-American barber C.D. Murray invented Murray's Superior Hair Dressing Pomade and began to sell it out of his Chicago barbershop. He founded Murray's Superior Products Co. in 1925, and the company expanded to produce a variety of hair care products which are sold internationally. Round metal orange-coloured tin with image of a Black man and woman with afro hairstyles.
