The body of the vessel is vertically grooved. On the flat top there is a medallion pressed with a mould. It depicts the sea monster Scylla. She is clothed with a belted chiton, has both arms angled to the side and her hands directed to her shoulder. The head with hair falling to the sides is shown in frontal view. To the sides, a wolf or dog front body emerges from her body, which once tore the sailors from their ships and devoured them. Left beside the head of the Scylla possibly a rest of the tail fluke is indicated. The medallion is surrounded by five stamped palmettes with a long lancet leaf; one is located between the handle and spout. Due to its flat shape and the vessel, which is covered with black luster down to the underside of the foot, it is an early Guttus.
