Thailand: The statue of a revered old monk at Wat Bang Phra, near Nakhon Chaisi, Nakhon Pathom Province. Wat Bang Phra dates to the late 18th century, just before the second fall of Ayutthaya. The English translation of the Thai temple name, 'Temple of the Riverbank Buddha Image', refers to a revered Ayutthaya Buddha image recovered from a boat which sank in the Nakhon Chaisi River alongside where the monastery was founded.
