Dinomischus isolatus

Reconstruction of the presumed entoproct, Dinomischus isolatus this rare fossil of uncertain affinity has also been discovered in the Lower Cambrian of China. The bulbous base probably served to anchor the animal in the soft, muddy substrate. The size is 10 mm. from the base of the "calyx" to the tip of the fringing bracts.
