Orig. bildtext... ALFRED KRUPP VON BOHLEN, sole owner of the great Krupp empire since 1943. He inherited empire from his mother Bertha Krupp who married Gustav von Bohlen und Halbach. By special decree of the German government Gustav was allowed to take the name of Krupp so that the family name might be preserved. Picture was taken a few minutes before the Krupp trial opened at Nuremberg, Krupp is sitting in place once occupied by Goering. Accused and defence councel stand as Court opens for Krupp trial 10 a.m. December 8th 1947 in Main Court, Nuremberg. Anm. A Krupp, 1907-1967, tysk industriman, son till Gustav Krupp. Övertog ledningen för Kruppverken 1943 och blev en centralgestalt i det nazistiska näringslivet. Dömdes till 12 års fängelse för utnyttjande av slavarbetare under kriget, men frigavs efter 3 år. 1953 fick han tillbaka posten som chef för företaget. Nürnbergrättegången Efterkrigstiden CD170 persons: Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach sites: NÜRNBERG ;TYSKLAND.
