Berlin, Germany: 1923. A German ten and twenty million mark bill in July of 1923. They are the highest denomination ever printed, and Germany expects them to help her evade the present money scarcity. The exchange rate later in December 1923, was between 3.4 to 5.72 billion marks to the dollar. In January of 1923 it was between 7,000 to 48,000 marks to the dollar.
