New York, New York: July 14, 1938 Howard Hughes' Lockheed 14N Super Electra airplane at Floyd Bennett Airport in Brooklyn when he landed there after flying around the world setting a new record of 3 days, 19 hours and 14 minutes, breaking Wiley Posts's record. It was part of a promotion to attract people to the New York World's Fair.
