Orig. bildtext... AMAZING ROBOT INTRODUCED TO LONDON. A party was held at the Savoy Hotel, London to introduce Rupert the Robot, who has been brought to London from Germany by Mr. Albert Creuziger. Rupert walks, talks (saying such things as Good morning and How are you?), smokes a cigarette, starts and drives a car, lifts his hat, etc. There is only one Rupert in existence, and the perfector states that it would take any period from five to ten years to introduce another. The cost would be between ¬£3,000 and ¬£4,000. The curiosity of those who would get a close view of Rupert has been killed by Mr. Creuziger having taken out a written indemnity against all consequences. O.P.S.
