He is preceded by Dawn or Day holding torch and scattering flowers. Behind chariot are female attendants and three allegories of Night amidst stars, crowns, flying bats and owls. In lower left corner, Diana in front of a crescent moon, hovers above Endymion who sleeps on a small hill amongst trees with his dog and three sheep. In lower right corner, an ocean with castle in the distance. Flying putti, some of whom hold garlands, fill the spaces between major scenes.
