The two Beadles who , each day at 5.30 pm , ring the 100 year old bell for closing time in the famous Burlington Arcade , have just received new uniforms which they will wear during the summer . Made by Sam Fisher , a tailor in the Arcade , using old prints for guidance , they consist of black doeskin frock coat , yellow , double - breasted waistcoat and pure silk top hat .
