'An Ancient Obelisk at Matarea, Formerly Heliopolis', Egypt, 1801. The oldest standing Ancient Egyptian obelisk in existence, the example at Heliopolis was erected by the 12th Dynasty Pharaoh Senusret I, who ruled from 1971 to 1926 BC.
