Genetic research. Conceptual computer artwork of a strand of DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) with a tanager bird and a dragonfly. The DNA strand is in the form of a tree. This represents research into the genetics of animals and plants. DNA contains the genetic code that varies between different animals and plants, producing the different body structures and chemistry. It is found in the cell nuclei, and comprises two sugar phosphate strands in a twisting helical shape (tree trunks). These strands have nucleotide bases (pink and blue bars) that bond to each other and join the two strands together. The base sequence is the genetic code.
