Navigation Longitude consisting of a plate on which eight concentric circles are engraved as well as five curved lines (meridians), Copper plate on which eight concentric circles are engraved (along the edge), and five curved lines (meridians) that are meet in one point. The degree distribution along the edge, with numbers and text between the circles, are indications of the magnetic variation. A wing is attached in the center of the plate to make it easy to handle. The underside of the length dial fits exactly in the circumference of the corresponding, also recovered map network, Nova Zembla, Behouden Huys, Willem Barendsz, Jacob van Heemskerck, anonymous, c. 1590 - c. 1596, brass (alloy), engraving, l 21.6 cm × w 9.3 cm l 1.5 cm × w 2.3 cm.
