'Southcott', (1750- 1814), 1830. Joanna Southcott (1750- 1814) self-described religious prophetess, dismissed as a domestic servant she joined the Wesleyan Church and announced herself a Woman of the Apocalypse. Called to London by  William Sharp to sell 'seals of the Lord' for eternal life, at 64 affirmed she was pregnant and would deliver the new Messiah.
