Messrs. Tuxford's Traction-Engine, exhibited at the Smithfield Club Cattle Show, [London], 1857. '...the Traction Engine, or Steam Horse [is] a sort of walking leviathan, more powerful than the elephant, yet as manageable as the farmer's best-bred cart-horse.
