A world record breaker: Lieutenant BH Barrington-Kennett, the first Adjutant of the RFC, 1912 (1933). Lieutenant Basil Herbert Barrington-Kennett made the first passenger flight in Portholme, Cambridgeshire. He was killed in action at Festubert, France, on 18 May 1915.
