As their fame spread the jealousy of their teacher began to grow. It reached a climatic moment when the two brothers were called upon to heal the Emperor of Rome. Because of their success their former mentor had them killed in a fit of rage. As a result of their good works they are considered to patron saints of amily and marriage. Their Saint's Day is celebrated on July 1 and November 1.
