Signor Pietro Annigoni is recognised as one of the outstanding painters of this century , and he is acclaimed by the art critics for his brilliant portrait of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II . Born in Milan in 1910 he moved to Florence in 1925 , and for a short time studied at the Academie des Beaux Arts .
