Muhammad Ali Jinnah (1876 1948) lawyer, politician, and the founder of Pakistan. with Mahatma Gandhi in 1946. Jinnah served as leader of the All-India Muslim League from 1913 until Pakistan's creation on 14 August 1947, and then as Pakistan's first Governor-General until his death. Mohandas Gandhi (1869 1948) was the preeminent leader of the Indian independence movement in British-ruled India.
