Pierre Paul Emile Roux, French physician, bacteriologist and immunologist, 1928. Roux (1853-1933) was one of the closest collaborators of Louis Pasteur and a co-founder of the Pasteur Institute in Paris, becoming its General Director in 1904. He was responsible for discovering the first effective treatment of diptheria, anti-diptheria serum.
