The inquiry by U.S. Congressional Committee into the Katyn Forest Massacre of Poles, which was held in secreet in London, has now moved to Germany, where hearings have opened at Frankfurt. The committee is investigating whether the Germans or the Russians were responsible for the murder of 4,200 Polish officers and civilians found buried in the forest near Smolensk, Russia. PHOTO SHOWS. Dr Tromsen, a Danish pathologist was heard as a witness, he was a member of the international committee in 1943 and corroborated the fact that the condition of the bodies indicated that they undoubtedly were murdered in 1940 and not during the summer 1941 as the Soviets claimed.
