US tank ferry sunk during manoeuvre in Main

Soldiers of the US army try to recover a ferry which has sunk in the river Main near Klein-Ostheim in Hesse on the 9th of November in 1961. The ferry, loaded with two heavy tanks and an armoured personnel carrier, had sunk during heavy rainfall. A soldier of the ferry crew drowned. 09/11/1961
