Inez Milholland, American Suffragette

Inez Milholland Boissevain (August 6, 1886 - November 25, 1916) was an American suffragette, labor lawyer, socialist, WWI correspondent, and public speaker. She was a member of the NAACP, the Women's Trade Union League, the National Child Labor Committee, and was deeply involved in the NAWSA, which later branched into the grassroots radical National Woman's Party. Sadly, she collapsed in the middle of a speech in Los Angeles, and despite repeated blood transfusions, she died at the age of 30 from pernicious anemia. Bain News Service, 1910 (cropped and cleaned).
