The Lamentation Lamentation of Christ with a kneeling founder, At the foot of a Calvary mountain made of rocks, Christ lies stretched out to the right in front of the Mary who is lying on one knee. She supports Christ's head with the right hand, while holding up his left hand with the other. On the left, half-back, with one knee on the floor, Mary Magdalene turns to Christ, with the half-opened ointment canister between the left hand and the right knee, behind her, also kneeling, St. Jan with raised hands, palms facing out, expressing his emotion. In Christ's feet the founder kneels in prayer, a Carthusian, behind him is his bracing pattern. He holds the left hand against the shoulder of his protégé and points to Christ with the other. A spell band (violated) previously bound the hands of both people. Behind the protective pattern is probably Mary, the mother of James and John, also with an ointment canister, she has her suspended dress under the left arm. Behind Christ's mother a fourth female figure, perhaps Salome, with the crown of thorns. On the cross, a skull, a lower jaw, and other bones. Mary wears a robe with V-shaped neckline, a cloak, a headscarf and pointed shoes, Magdalena a tight-fitting jacket with V-shaped neckline and a belt with buckle, a headscarf, a hood hanging from the shoulders with a falling cap and a trip to the left foot. St. Jan a cloak closed on the chest with two buttons over a tunic with a raised collar and girdle, the pattern is a tunic with a belt and a cloak closed on the chest with a double cord between two archers. Salomé a bourrelet, held under the chin by a cloth, furthermore a robe with V-shaped neckline and folded sleeves at the bottom, the third Maria a headscarf with a child's cloth attached to it by two buttons and a dress over which a mantle, Christ's body lying on the ground (donor (s), supplicant (s), or not with patron saint (s)), Arnt van Zwolle, Nederrijn, c. 1480, oak (wood), h 54 cm × w 40 cm.
