Magic Lantern slide circa 1900 hand coloured. created in 1887. Carnarvon, caenarfon,Castle, from the Ferry.—This view is taken from the other side of the River Seoint, and gives one a fair idea of the grandeur of this noble building, which is one of the finest ruins of its kind in the empire. The towers are of admirable proportions, that known as the Eagle Tower being the finest and strongest, and having three turrets above its roof, as seen in the view. From the summit of this tower we get a splendid prospect of surrounding scenery, and also a bird's-eye view of the Castle itself, and a notion of its stability, vastness, and venerability. This is another of the Castles erected by Edward I.
