The pattern has symmetrical reclining S tendrils, tied together in the center with a lily and a rose. The richly branched tendril is set with leaf rosettes and ends in volutes of acanthus leaves and silver sutured tendrils. The strip is finished with gold passement and gold fringe along the bottom. The strip belongs to three strips., anonymous, Italy (possibly), c. 1500 - c. 1600, velvet (fabric weave), silk, embroidering, length 190.0 cm × width 60.0 cm.
