Yokut Rabbit Blanket

California: c. 1930 In cold weather the California Native American men wore skin blankets for warmth. This Yokut man is wearing a rabbit skin blanket made by weaving together strips of rabbit hide. Most of the rest of the year the men wore only a breechclout or a skin tied around the waist.
