In the center, Christ hangs from a T-shaped cross, which has a separate sign with I N R I at the top. He has the head crowned with thorns pointing down to the left and wearing a loincloth flapping to the left. On either side hang from crosses, seen from behind, the good and the bad murderer, whose judge, whose cross is propped by a pole, looks towards the viewer. In the left foreground are Mary and John, both with folded hands, looking up at the cross. Left behind them, two women kneel. Mary Magdalene, accompanied by another woman, kneels to the left of the cross that she includes. On the other side of the cross, the ointment jar and a skull are visible. In the right foreground, Saint Veronica stands in worship before the left in the foreground sweat cloth. On the sweat cloth is an image of the head of Christ. Behind her Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea. To the left of the cross on the second plan, two warlords head behind their soldiers towards Jerusalem ahead. Not signed. The painting is in a black-painted wooden frame with a gilded inner edge, 1924.
