Benito Juarez (March 21, 1806 - July 18, 1872) born Benito Pablo Juarez Garcia, was a Mexican lawyer and politician of Zapotec origin from Oaxaca who served five terms as president of Mexico: 18581861 as interim, 18611865, 18651867, 18671871 and 18711872.
