POISE OF A MASTER - NEW FENCING COACH FROM FRANCE. Professor ROGER CRISNIER who has been appointed coach to the Amateur Fencing Association , photographed at the Association's London headquarters . A Frenchman who speaks English with a Scottish accent because he was born in Scotland and studies in Edinburgh University , he is reputed to be one of the World's finest fencers. He was advisor and trainer to the French Olympic Fencing team . A professor of fencing , he has taught in Edinburgh and Dublin . The Ministry of Education made a grant to bring him to London from Paris . 26 January 1949.
