MRI of Etat Crible

This axial (cross sectional) T2 weighted MR image of an elderly subject demonstrates multiple prominent perivascular spaces (Virchow-Robin Spaces). Visualization of perivascular spaces is a normal finding and when it is very prominent can be confused with a pathologic (abnormal) state.
