She was widely known during the war as Axis Sally, and her jeering voice haunted the U.S. soldiers, even down to their own slang, wherever they bivouaced. She followed the Axis line. Now on her release she told the press that Sec. of State James F. Byrnes should be replaced, that Moscow should be razed and she threw in some debrogatory remarks about jewry. She is looking for a passport back to the U.S. Anm. M Gillars, 1900-1988, amerikansk radioreporter under andra världskriget. Känd för att ha spridit nazistisk propaganda under namnet Axis Sally.
