TRANSVERSE FLUTE

Transverse Flute. Culture: German. Dimensions: L. 63.7 cm (25 3/32 in.) with joint 3 and D-foot. Maker: Friedrich Gabriel August Kirst (German, Dresden ca. 1750-1806 Berlin). Date: ca. 1795. Kirst was one of the foremost German flute makers of his generation. The instrument comes with four exchangeable upper-middle sections to tune the flute in different pitches, and an additional C-foot for the notes c-sharp and c.
