Britain's Largest Landplane Airliner -- First passenger flights, with more than thirty on board, have just been successfully completed at Croydon by "Ensign", leader of the new fleet of 14 Armstrong Whitworth 40-passenger all-metal airliners of the "E" class. These 21-ton craft are to go into service on Empire and European routes. Luxury travel at a top speed of more than 200 miles an hour (320 km./h.) is provided by the "Ensign" which enjoys "four-engine safety" with four Armstrong Siddeley Tig.
