IN MEMORY OF JAN MASARYK. LONDON REMEBRANCE SERVICE. Czech refugees in London held a memorial service , the first anniversary of the tragic death of JAN MASARYK , Czech Foreign Minister , at St . Martin -in - the Fields . The address at the service was given by the Rt . Hon H.V. Evatt , Australian Deputy premier and newly elected president of the World Federation of United Nations Associations . A committee has been formed with Mr . Churchill as chairman , to launch a Masaryk Memorial Fund . PICTURE SHOWS :- Film star MYRNZ LOY , who attended the remembrance service . Miss Loy was a close friend of Jan Masaryk , and it was he who was responsible for her taking an interest of international affairs . A member of the United Nations Association , she was an American delegate , at the international conference at Geneva last year . PICTURE SHOWS;- Film actress MYRNA LOY with the Rt . Hon . The Viscount CECIL , who is Hon . Life President of the United Nations Association . Both attended the remembrance service .
