Jean-Marie Collot d'Herbois (1749-1796). French actor, dramatist and revolutionary. Deputy for Paris in the National Convention. He took part in the Committee of Public Safety during the Reign of Terror. The Convention deployed him with Joseph Fouché on 30 October 1793 to suppress the revolt in Lyon, executing the insurgents on a massive way.
