Captain Taylor, Australian air communications pioneer, is in Britain to take delivery of a short Sandringham Bermuda class flying boat in which he makes a series of Pacific air tourist cruises this year. In 1951 as captain of a catalina flying boat, Captain Taylor made the first crossing of the South Pacific from Sydney to Valparaiso.He began his flying career as a fighter pilot in the first World War.
