Also used in downhill and in Super-G, the skier makes this turn with his knees bent, chest slightly forward, and feet and arms apart. The weight is kept on the inside edge of the outside ski. The inside ski is mainly used to maintain balance. The aim is to execute the turns at maximum speeds. The skier uses the entire length of the ski edge to execute a strong carving turn.
