Merchandise Tin salt container, three-part, cylindrical with an elongated bell shape, Tin salt container, cylindrical with an elongated bell shape. The two lower parts have a cavity on the top for salt or herbs. On the middle part fits an onion-shaped lid with a round ball that ends in a peak and which has four holes. This part could probably have been unscrewed originally. The bottom of this consists of a tin plate. Traces of silvering are visible, Nova Zembla, Behouden Huys, Willem Barendsz, Jacob van Heemskerck, anonymous, England (possibly), c. 1590 - c. 1596, tin (metal), soldering, h 22.4 cm d 4.5 cm d 7 cm d 10.5 cm.
