Ibrahim in the fire. Hadikat us-suada. Turkey, late 16th/early 17th century. Ibrahim sitting on the ground having been catapulted into the fire. On the command of God the fire became cold and a spring surrounded by flowers appeared. Ibrahim is shown sitting near the spring and flowering plants, encircled by flames.
