Herschel 7' Reflector Telescope Replica

Replica of a telescope with a focal length of seven feet similar to that with which Herschel discovered Uranus. The telescope is suitable for a single observer. The telescope was aimed at the object with the help of the leading binoculars; in watching the object the screw driving gear was used. A reflecting telescope (also called a reflector) is an optical telescope which uses a single or combination of curved mirrors that reflect light and form an image.
