Orig. bildtext... MR. MALIK GOES ON THE RECORD New York. With a huge portrait of Premier Stalin watching him like Big Brother, Jacob Malik, Soviet Deputy Foreign Minister and the Kremlin's mouthpiece in the United Nations, is shown at the recording microphone in the Russian Delegation offices today, June 23, as he recorded his address in the Price of Peace series. This series of talks is produced by the United Nations Radio and carried in the U.S. by the Columbia Broadcasting System. In his address Malik declared that the Korean war can be settled peacefully and urged discussions between the warring sides for a cease fire and withdrawal of all forces from the 38th parallel. Malik failed to say, however, whether or not he planned to present these proposals through diplomatic channels or to the United Nations as a formal peace suggestion. 6.23.51 Not.Initiativtagaren till Koreafred (in spe) 23 juni 1951 Anm.
