UPPER LIMB, BLOOD CIRCULATION

Arteries of the right shoulder.. The arterial brachiocephalic trunk, issue from the aortic arch, gives birth to the right subclavian artery. The later rapidly divides into vertebral artery, that irrigate the cerebral structures. Under the clavicle, the subclavian artery becomes the axillary artery. The arteries collateral to the axillary artery are the superior thoracic artery (irrigate the pectoral muscles), the thoracoacromial artery (in direction of the clavicle, the deltoids), the lateral thoracic artery (or external mammary artery, towards the pectoral muscles and the breast), the anterior circumflex artery (also called anterior humeral circumflex artery, irrigating the regions of the head of the humerus and the elbow), the subscapular artery and the humeral artery (also named brachial, towards the forearm).
