German world war two propaganda poster. 'We must use WHW War Stamps'. 1942. Three German stamps illustrate the beauty of the late medieval architecture of Heidelberg, Bremen and Kaub. The stamps were issued with a surtax to support 'Winter Help Week,' an army charity that gave clothing to German troops who were ill equipped to fight the Soviets and the bitter cold.
