Subretinal Haemorrhage

Subretinal haemorrhage with Intraocular gas bubbles that have been injected into the vitreous cavity to displace a submacular blood. The different gases that are commonly used are sulphur hexafluoride (SF6), perfluoropropane (C3F8), perfluoroethane (G2F6), and air. The gas is gradually absorbed and disappears between one and eight weeks depending on which type is used.
