Egypt. Temple of Edfu. Ancient temple dedicated to Horus. Ptolemaic period. It was built during the reign of Ptolemy III and Ptolemy XII, 237-57 BC. Relief depicting two was-sceptres, symbol of power and dominion. Stylized animal head at the top of a long, straight staff with a forked end.
