conductor's baton, Anonymous, manufacture: 1848; Offered: 1860, ebony, wood, silver, velvet, engraved, Total: 41.8 x 6.2 x 4.8cm 418 x 62 x 48mm, Conductor's Stick: 38.4 x 3.5cm 384 x 35mm, Sheath: 41, 8 x 6.2 x 4.8cm 418 x 62 x 48mm, ebony, conductor baton or baton with silver fittings. The stick is made up of two baluster shapes, connected by a flat node, including batter. The stick ends with a six-lobed button. The end consists of double nodes, between which profiled edges. The crowning glory is a winch. A leaf vine winds around the lower baluster. Around the top a silver band spiraling around the stick, on which is engraved: THE LEIDSCHE CHOIR AND ORCHESTRA THEIR DIRECTOR A.J. WETRENS DECEMBER 11, 1860. Marked on both baluster shapes. The baton is in a wooden box, which is lined on the inside with red velvet, 1900.
