Second most powerful man in Russia - Andrei Zhdanov - has died at the age of 52 after a long illness. Preceded by solemn music, Moscow radio last night announced the death of Stalin's right-hand man and logical successor by saying: "Comrade Zhdanov devoted his life to the service of the great cause of Communism and his death is an extremely grave loss to the Party and the Soviet people. A member of the executive of the old Comintern, Zhadanov organized the new Cominform and chaired its first sec.
