'Queen Eleanor and Fair Rosamond', c1860, (c1860). Queen Eleanor and Fair Rosamund is an English folktale that depicts the encounter of Eleanor of Aquitaine (1122-1204), wife of Henry II and his mistress Rosamund Clifford (c1150-c1176).
