An elevated view of the construction site for South Norwood Police Station, from the perspective of a man who is standing on a tower crane. Laing’s Southern Region was awarded a £3.8m contract by the Metropolitan Police for the construction of a divisional police station at South Norwood. Work began at the 2100 square metre site in 1986. The structure comprised a reinforced concrete framed building and reinforced concrete basement with brick cladding, services and external works.
